20 Amp Electronic Marine Converter Charger Wizard PD2120V

20 Amp Electronic Marine Converter with Charger Wizard The PD2020 you will recieve the PD2120V  is a 20-amp electronic battery charger capable of charging up to three separate banks of batteries at the same time. It incorporates a microprocessor that constantly monitors battery voltage, then automatically selects one of three different charging voltages and one of four operating modes to ensure safe, rapid recharging cycles. The Storage Mode and the Equalize Mode of operation ensures minimum battery gasing and water loss while preventing battery stratification and sulfation. All Inteli-Power chargers are designed to meet the stringent requirements of the Marine environment and are UL listed for safety. REVERSE BATTERY PROTECTION PREVENTS CHARGER DAMAGE IF BATTERY LEADS ARE ACCIDENTALLY REVERSED CHARGES UP TO THREE BATTERY BANKS BUILT-IN HIGH VOLTAGE PROTECTION BUILT-IN AMPMETER IS STANDARD QUIET SENSOR FAN ELECTRONIC SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION OVER TEMPERATURE SAFETY SHUTDOWN The Progressive Dynamics INTELI-POWER MARINE series of marine battery chargers incorporate a built-in microprocessor that constantly monitors battery voltage. Depending on battery voltage and use, the microprocessor then selects one of three different charging voltages and one of four operating modes (Boost, Normal, Storage or Equalize) to ensure a safe rapid recharge. If the microprocessor senses the battery has been heavily discharged, it automatically selects the Boost Mode, increasing the charging voltage to 14.4 volts to bring the battery up to 90% of full charge as rapidly as possible. The system then automatically switches to the Normal Mode, 13.6 volts, to safely complete the charge. If the battery is fully charged and the 12 volt electrical systems are turned off for a period of 30 hours, the system selects the Storage Mode, 13.2 volts. This lower voltage reduces battery gasing and water loss. To prevent battery sulfation and stratification during the Storage Mode of operation, the system selects the Equalize Mode every 21 hours for a period of 15 minutes. The Equalize Mode increases the voltage to 14.4 volts for a 15-minute period to eliminate battery sulfation and stratification problems.
